Learning how to Network Market can be somewhat daunting at the very beginning of your career in the industry. There are so many new concepts to learn, and it’s not as if you wake up the very next day with the skills necessary to build a global enterprise. The fact is that at the start, learning how to network market can be tough. When you first begin networking, you could described as “ignorance on fire” which is infinitely better than being described as veteran who has “knowledge on ice“.
So how can you capitalize on your “ignorance on fire?” Listen carefully, because the following 3 steps are what you need to hear!
In my first week of building my business I made a fatal mistake! I had one of my good mates listen very politely as I stumbled through a very distorted version of the business opportunity meeting that I attended only two days before. He was very polite and listened carefully, only to inform me at the end of my “ignorance on fire” rant, that it “wasn’t for him.” To this day, I often wonder how that conversation would have ended if I had of asked about his goals and dreams and found out how my business could actually have helped him. Rather than blasting him with a torrent of information that he was not emotionally connected to!
Despite what you might think, this business is NOT about you! “Woah there” I hear you say! “but it’s my business?!” Well yes, of course it is your business, but if you want it to grow, you need to understand that it is FAR BIGGER than just yourself! Before you call someone you want to prospect it is a great idea to make a list of all the reasons why they might need your opportunity in their life – it might be that they need more time, more money or more freedom. You should also write down the reasons you think that your prospect would excel in your business, what personality traits do they possess that would be required to build their business. These things might include – business minded, entrepreneurial, great communication skills, task oriented OR have a why that can truly make them cry!
Just do it! Don’t argue! If you truly want your business to succeed, you need to call your up-line and try to determine the things that brought them success, and DUPLICATE them! If it brought them success in finding you, it sure as heck can help you find the NEXT YOU!
Follow these three basic steps, and you will be well on your way to building that global enterprise you are dreaming of and remember, DO NOT let this knowledge turn to ICE.
